 Terry Shaw is a respected leader and innovator in the commercial agribusiness insurance industry, bringing more than 35 years of experience in underwriting, executive leadership, and entrepreneurial growth. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for developing high-performing agribusiness insurance operations and delivering strategic solutions for complex commercial risks nationwide.

Terry began his insurance career with Farmland Mutual Insurance Company in 1989, where he developed a strong technical foundation through a series of underwriting positions. In 1993, he joined Nationwide Agribusiness Insurance as the first employee in its National Accounts Division. Over the next 16 years, Terry played an instrumental role in the division’s growth and success, ultimately serving as Director of Underwriting for all commercial agribusiness operations across the United States.

Driven by an entrepreneurial vision, Terry founded Berkley Agribusiness Risk Specialists in 2009 and served as its President. Under his leadership, the company experienced extraordinary growth, becoming the nation’s second-largest admitted commercial agribusiness insurance carrier and expanding operations into all 50 states.

In 2023, Terry joined forces with Texas Agribusiness Insurance to develop innovative markets and insurance solutions for hard-to-place commercial agribusiness risks. His extensive industry expertise, proven leadership, and commitment to serving agricultural businesses have made him a trusted resource throughout the agribusiness insurance community.

In 2025, Terry was instrumental in developing an exclusive property insurance program through Lloyd’s of London for Texas Agribusiness Insurance. In recognition of his contributions and leadership, he was named Vice President of Texas Agribusiness Insurance, where he continues to help drive growth and innovation in the agribusiness insurance marketplace.
